Join Becca Salamone as she talks with River Run Farms owner Kelly Montgomery about her upcoming move to the old Metzger property in the Chelsea/Westover area of Alabama. She talks all about the renovations and the amentities the new property will offer the equine community. As well, Montgomery talks about the family-friendly nature of her barn and its emphasis on youth. She speaks about the wisdom she has gained over the years in training kids and how important working with horses is to our youth.
Thank you to everyone who came out and helped today. We made a lot of progress. The top barn has half of the roof installed and half of the plywood up. The stalls adjacent to the arena are just about complete. The floor is ready for shavings and all the latches have been installed. The shed behind those stalls has also been cleaned out. The back side of the arena and roll up doors were power washed and look great. The new outdoor arena has been cleaned of all sticks and rocks. The entrance has also has been modified. It has been widened and also has gravel. The living area has been painted and we hope to install flooring in the next few days. Here are just a few pictures from today’s progress. http://www.riverrunal.com/newbarn/
